Data Engineer positions! Permanent Position / Direct Hire!
• Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Business, or related field.
• Participating in the design and architecture of software solutions. This includes understanding requirements, proposing technical solutions, and designing system components, modules, and interfaces.
• Writing and executing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software. This involves identifying edge cases, writing test cases, and using testing frameworks and tools.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, testers, and other developers. This involves participating in meetings, providing feedback, and coordinating tasks to achieve project goals.
• Using version control systems like Git to manage source code changes, branches, and merges effectively. This includes committing code, resolving merge conflicts, and following branching strategies.
• Documenting code, APIs, system architecture, and technical specifications to facilitate understanding, maintenance, and knowledge transfer. This involves writing comments, README files, and other documentation artifacts.
• Deploying software releases to production environments or staging environments. This includes building deployment artifacts, configuring deployment pipelines, and collaborating with DevOps or system administrators.
• Identifying and fixing issues, errors, and defects in the software. This involves analyzing logs, using debugging tools, and applying problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Continuously learning and improving technical skills, programming languages, frameworks, and tools. This includes staying updated with industry trends, attending training sessions, and experimenting with new technologies.
• Ensuring the security, privacy, and compliance of software applications with relevant regulations and standards. This involves following secure coding practices, implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, and addressing vulnerabilities.
• Optimizing software performance by profiling code, identifying bottlenecks, and applying performance tuning techniques. This includes improving algorithm efficiency, reducing latency, and optimizing resource utilization.
• Providing technical support to end-users, clients, or internal stakeholders. This involves responding to inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions or workarounds.
